The Applewood Manor is a turn-of-the-century Colonial Revival building right in Asheville’s historic Montford District.
Every one of the guestrooms has a TV with a DVD player and either an iHome or iPod compatible clock radio. There is also a turn-down service, monogrammed towels and robes, lighted makeup mirrors, hair dryers, individual heating and air conditioning, and homemade lavender linen spray for you to use. Guests also get custom-made bath lotion, salts, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap.
The cottage is also pet friendly with a love seat and wet bar and some rooms have private balconies, fireplaces, ceiling fans, antique furnishings, and/or original hardwood floors. The manor is on top of a knoll with slightly over an acre around it, filled with natural beauty. Sit on the first-floor porches by the painted iron bistro table, porch swings, or rocking chairs. The backyard also has wrought iron furniture, a patio, an arbor, a tree swing, bistro tables with umbrellas, a fire pit, and a hammock.
The entire inn has free wireless internet and one of the innkeepers lives on-site and is available at all hours. Begin the day with a three-course breakfast, including fresh ingredients from the garden.
