Review:

The Chimneys was named as Mississippi's best restaurant by MSN's review of the best restaurants in each American state, acclaimed for its fine Creole-influenced dining options. The restaurant was originally opened in Long Beach and moved to an historic home property on Gulfport's beach in the early 2000s. Following Hurricane Katrina, the restaurant was completely rebuilt in 2010 and is operated today by Sophie and Watson Nord, the children of its original owners. Couples can enjoy decadent dining selections at brunch, lunch, and dinner throughout the week, including Creole favorites like trout meuniere Almondine, stuffed flounder, seasoned fried oysters, and the restaurant's signature Chimneys Creole pasta, which is tossed with spicy cream sauce and stuffed with shrimp, oysters, or chicken. Shareable appetizers range from crabmeat-stuffed mushrooms and seafood gumbo to baked seafood eggplant medallions drowned in creamy spinach sauce and breadcrumbs.
