Temperance River State Park is a place that could be described as a pleasant surprise for visitors. Campers can take in the gorgeous sunset from their campsites by the lakeshore before adventuring to the Temperance River for a unique experience of viewing the river flow into Lake Superior. Peaks, gorges, and waterfalls can be found throughout Temperance River State Park that are all stunning in their own right as well. Carlton Peak in particular is popular among rock climbers and hikers. Hidden Falls can also be reached by a hike. The campground’s more sparsely occupied side offer more privacy from neighboring campers.
