Review:

The Cascades is a popular waterfall attraction in Sparks Foundation County Park, Jackson, Michigan. The man-made falls, created in 1932, are brightly illuminated and choreographed and are providing the background for live concerts and special events. On Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day, the fireworks add to the magic of this place. The falls consist of six fountains, three reflecting pools 30 by 90 feet in size and 16 waterfalls. Only 11 are illuminated. 90 LED rope lights are providing the illumination. On each side of the falls are 126 steps that allow visitors to climb to the top. The walkway passes by the three reflecting pools. The falls were built by William Sparks, who was inspired by the Magic Fountain of Montjuic in Barcelona, Spain.
