Review:

Notch Brewery and Tap Room has been brewing session beer since 2010, long before the industry boom on the highly-drinkable low-ABV beverages began. The brewery was the nation’s first exclusive session brewery and focuses on classic beer styles from Germany, England, Belgium, and the Czech Republic. Year-round favorites include the brewery’s Session Pils, Left of the Dial IPA, Infinite Jest Hoppy Pale Wheat, and German-style Zwickel Lager. Since 2016, the brewery has operated a public taproom and biergarten in Salem, which offers light snacks, skee ball, cornhole, and pint and to-go sales. Food truck pop-ups are also offered periodically at the facility, and outside food may be brought or ordered from nearby restaurants. A mobile biergarten is also offered by the brewery, taking their brews and brand to locations throughout Massachusetts, including private special event bookings.
