Big Elm Brewing was the vision of veteran brewers Christine and Bill Heaton, who met while working for Victory Brewing Company. After running the Pittsfield Brew Works brewpub for half a decade, the pair turned their attention to creating a new production brewery in Sheffield, which opened to the public in 2012.
