Review:
Merrimack Ales is named after Lowell’s famed river, located less than a mile from the brewery’s 6,000-square-foot production facility and taproom. The small-batch craft facility blends artistry and science in its creation of its unique beers, which are available on tap and for purchase at a variety of locations throughout the Boston area. Year-round brews include the First Article IPA, Alt Hypothesis Altbier, Vigor Chocolate Oatmeal Stout, and Honey White Ale, while seasonals include a maple porter, blackberry wheat beer, and pumpkin ale. Experimental brews are also released as part of the brewery’s Hypothesis Series, including Belgian and American-style IPAs and imperial porters.
