Review:
Jack's Abby Craft Lagers was founded in 2011 by bothers Eric, Jack, and Sam Handler, former employees of their family’s ice distribution company. The brewery, which focuses on authentic German-style beers and old-world brewing techniques, has been honored by the Great American and Great International Beer Festivals and was the 2016 recipient of the Best of Boston awards’ Best Brewery designation. Flagship brews are available year-round at the brewery’s Beer Hall and Kitchen, including its Hoponious Union India Pale Lager, its Smoke and Dagger Black Lager, its Post Shift Pilsner, and its Blood Orange Wheat Radler. Specialty seasonal beers are also tapped, along with Kellerbier and barrel-aged limited series beers. The brewery’s kitchen serves bar appetizers and shareable plates, wood-fired specialty pizzas, and traditional Oktoberfest fare.
