Louisiana Music Factory is an independent record and CD store in the French Quarter that specializes in local music with an extensive inventory of New Orleans and Louisiana music. Established over 20 years ago, the independently owned music store is based on the ground floor of the building that was once Junque Antique Shop on Frenchmen Street and features a wealth of new and used vinyl, 45s, 78 rpm records, DVDs and CDs. In addition to classic catalog titles with a focus on traditional jazz, Blues, Cajun, and Zydeco, the store also sells posters, artworks, postcards and music books, apparel and accessories, and music equipment such as drum heads, guitar strings, harmonicas, tambourines, amp cables and more. The store also holds weekly in-store performances throughout the year, and free concerts by local and national bands, particularly during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival period.
