The Wolf House Museum is located in a limestone house built in 1868 as a boarding house known as the German Boarding House. Under different owners, the house was used as a boarding house until 1938, when it became a home to Hepler family first and then, in 1941, to the Wolf family. In 1982, Mrs. Wolf donated the house to the Riley County Historical Society, which converted it into a museum that interprets the 1880s era in Manhattan through period furniture and décor. There are also several additional exhibits that feature different periods of the house’s history, since each owner made a series of changes influenced by each period’s style. 630 Fremont St, Manhattan, KS 66502, Tel. 785-776-7344,
