Located near the town of Solon along the banks of the Coralville Lake, the Sugar Bottom Campground consists of more than two hundred campsites, including walk-in non-electric sites, 30-amp electric sites, water hookup and 50-amp electric site, and full hookup sites, as well as many amenities, such as a boat ramp, beach, entrance station, drinking water, dump station, vault toilets, shower facilities, and modern restrooms. Activities at the Sugar Bottom Campground, and Coralville Lake in general, include swimming, boating, hunting, picnicking, water activities, mountain biking, hiking, disc golf, and fishing for catfish, walleye, crappie, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass.
