Located along the southern border of the state of Indiana, Harrison Crawford State Forest covers 24,000 acres in Harrison, Crawford and Orange Counties. The forest is very popular with outdoor enthusiasts who come from all over the state and beyond to explore 25 miles of hiking trails. Home to a wide variety of wildlife, including some threatened species, the forest also attracts wildlife enthusiasts and hunters. Other activities include canoeing and kayaking as well as fishing (on the Blue River which runs through the park) and camping under stars at one of the campgrounds. Equestrians will be pleased to know that there are extensive horse-back riding trails.
