Located 12 miles north of Carlsbad in New Mexico, Brantley Lake State Park is home to Brantley Lake, a man-made reservoir created from the Pecos River in the 1980s that offers an array of recreational and outdoor activities.

  • The Brantley Lake State Park Campground has 51 campsites with water and electric hookups, as well as drinking water, flush toilets, coin-operated hot showers, and an RV dump station.
  • The Park also has a visitor center offering information on the park, several hiking trails, a boat ramp, picnic area, and primitive camping at Rocky Bay with campsites, fire rings, shade structures, and tables.
  • Brantley Lake State Park offers activities such as hiking, mountain biking, boating, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, swimming, picnicking, and wildlife viewing.
