Outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers flock to Shenandoah National Park to enjoy a wide variety of outdoor pursuits. The park is located along the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains between Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, which makes it easy to access for day visitors. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy for several days including over 500 miles of hiking trails. If you are not into hiking you can still enjoy the wonderful landscape on a scenic drive along Skyline Drive.

Other activities in the park include trout fishing in the streams, ranger-led programs, biking and wildlife viewing. Five campgrounds provide facilities for those who would like to stay overnight or longer.
