Natural Bridge is located west of Richmond, close to the George Washington and Jefferson State Forest.
The town is named for the natural stone arch you can visit in the Natural Bridge State Park.
The 215-foot high archway spans the Cedar Creek Gorge and is surrounded by beautiful forests, mountains and streams.
There are six miles of hiking trails including the accessible Cedar Creek Trail which leads through the forests to the Monacan Indian Village and the lovely Lace Falls.
Other attractions near the town include the Virginia Safari Park (where you can view and feed many animals from your vehicle), the Natural Bridge Zoo and the weird and whacky Dinosaur Kingdom II.
