Walliser Kanne Fondue is a fine dining restaurant that has been open in Basel since 1947, specializing in traditional Valais gourmet dishes such as wienerschnitzels prepared tableside. The restaurant utilizes high-quality organic ingredients sourced from local farms, blending contemporary and traditional recipes. It is best known for its cheese fondue dishes, which are available in moitiƩ-moitiƩ, ceps, and Champagne variants, along with all-you-can-eat raclette dishes, Valais charcuterie platters, and specialty fish and poultry dishes boned and sliced tableside. A wine cellar offers Valais, Swiss, Italian, and Bordeaux fines wines, while the Kanne-Bar serves a large selection of cocktails, liquors, and beers. Lunch and dinner service is offered six days a week, with bar service available until midnight every day but Sunday.
