Der Teufelhof Wine and Cheese Tastings are hosted at the historic Der Teufelhof guest and cultural house within Basel's Old Town area, which is housed within two 18th-century converted townhouses and offers a variety of cultural institutions and businesses, including a theater, hotel, and several upscale restaurants and breweries. The cultural meeting place offers wine and cheese tasting sessions for groups of 10 to 50 participants, allowing participants to taste fine wines from a variety of European regions that are specifically selected and paired with gourmet cheese pairs. The workshop lasts approximately one hour, led by an educated instructor who explains the pairing process in detail. Fine chocolates are also sampled, and a dossier and certificate are provided, detailing the wines and foods tasted during the course.
