Review & FAQ:
Woodland Empire Brewery was founded in 2014 by former Austin, Texas musician and homebrewer Keely Landerman, who relocated to Boise with her husband Rob to take advantage of the Idaho region’s less-saturated up-and-coming craft beer scene. The brewery has grown to produce 1,800 barrels annually, including music and literature-inspired ales such as its Electric Warrior Oatmeal Stout, named after an album by rockers T.Rex, and its Return of the Rivers Porter, which pays tribute to a poem by author Richard Brautigan. Its tasting room is open seven days a week, with distribution also available at bars and liquor sellers throughout much of the Pacific Northwest, including Vancouver and Seattle.
