Boise Brewing was founded in 2012 by Collin Rudeen and opened to the public in 2014 in collaboration with former Sockeye Brewing brewer Lance Chavez. The unique co-op brewery allows community members to purchase stock in the brewery and receive dividends in the form of its beer output, one of only a few similar breweries across the country. Unique custom Community Supported Beers are brewed for members and owners every several months, with flagship brews such as the brewery’s Snowboarder Porter, Syringa Pale Ale, Hip Check IPA, and Broad Street Blonde also available regularly. A wide variety of public special events are offered at the brewery throughout the year, including poetry and music performances and an annual Hoptober Freshtival fresh-hop festival.
