Colonial Williamsburg is situated on 301 acres, a truly one-of-a-kind place where the minute visitors step foot onto the grounds they are immersed in the 18th century. There are dozens of original homes, buildings, and shops from this time period as well as beautifully restored gardens, historical trades, and rare animal breeds. Among the historic sites are the George Wythe House, where the Age of Enlightenment is explored, and the James Geddy House, where families can dance, play games, and participate in the daily chores of this period. The Peyton Rudolph House, exposing the underbelly of slavery, and the Public Armory, showcasing the primitive machines used during the Revolutionary War, are also found here.
