Watermelon Creek Vineyard cultivates grapes and produces wines, jellies, jams, juices, and sauces. The Padgett family first founded the farm back in 1812 along the banks of Watermelon Creek. Wine bottles pay homage to the history of the region. The winery’s Heritage Series honors regional landmarks and historical figures of Georgia’s Tattnall County from the past 250 years. Labels contain photographs of former county residents, bridges, and an invoice from a former commissary dating back to the year 1900. The Whoopee Series showcases local artifacts like old books, illustrations, and personal items found on the vineyard’s Padgett home built in 1820.
