Review:

You will find the historic Bradenton Beach City Pier at the northern end of lovely Sarasota Bay. The pier was once part of a wooded bridge which linked Anna Maria Island to the mainland. When the bridge was replaced by a drawbridge, the part closest to the island was retained as a fishing pier. Later a restaurant was added, which has become one of the most popular eateries in the area. There is a bait and tackle shop where you can buy everything you need to join the local fishermen trying their luck along the pier. The pier also has a Day Dock where you can tie up your boat while you stroll along the pier and enjoy the wonderful views of the bay and beyond.
