Review:
Universal CityWalk provides Orlando visitors with an opportunity to experience the excitement of the Universal Orlando Resort without the hefty admission price tag. The retail and entertainment district was originally opened to the public in 1999 as part of major resort expansions and serves as the main entrance plaza to the resort's Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure theme parks. Modern architectural elements frame a wide variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment options, including national chain favorite restaurants such as Hard Rock Cafe Orlando, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville, and the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. AMC Theatres and IMAX cinemas are also offered, along with a 1950s-themed miniature golf course, a Blue Man Group live theater, and an array of name-brand retail options. Visitors should note that while CityWalk is free to enter, most attractions require a ticketed upcharge or purchase.
