Whenever I’m in the mood for sunshine, ocean breezes, and that breezy Florida feel, I head to the beaches of Fort Lauderdale. If you’re dreaming of soft sand, clear skies, and plenty of ways to unwind, I think you’ll love what these beaches have to offer. I’ve found them perfect for everything from lazy afternoons to lively sunset hangouts.
Highlights:
- When I want the full beachside experience, I chill out at Fort Lauderdale Beach. You’ll love the palm-lined promenade—it’s ideal for a long walk or grabbing a coffee while people-watching.
- Some days I need peace and quiet, and that’s when I go to Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. You’ll find the sands quieter here, and I always bring my snorkel to explore the reef near the shore.
- If you’re in the mood for more action, I suggest heading to Hollywood Beach. I’ve caught volleyball games there and even joined in a few. You’ll feel the energy right away.
- I’ve had some of my most peaceful beach days at Dania Beach. If you’re anything like me, you’ll appreciate the calm vibe and the lovely fishing pier—it’s a great place to just slow down.
- When I’m with family or just want great food close to the water, I go to Pompano Beach. You’ll enjoy golden sand, wide spaces, and plenty of spots to grab a bite after a long beach stroll.
