Based at William P. Hobby Airport, The 1940 Air Terminal Museum is an ode to Houston's fascinating aviation history. Housed in the original art-deco styled Houston Municipal Airport building, which served as the first terminal specifically for passenger flights in Houston, the Museum showcases the rich heritage of civil aviation and provides information about the airlines and general and business aviation.

Several galleries display a variety of exhibits containing vintage aviation memorabilia like silver service items, models, documents, and photographs while a modern theater screens films related to aviation. Guided field trips and docent-led tours are available during the weekdays, and the museum puts on an airshow every day of the week.
