Home to several hundred historically significant musical instruments, the Sigal Music Museum features a variety of instruments made by some of the world’s most iconic instrument makers over the past four hundred years. Among the hundreds of instruments are woodwinds, pianos, harpsichords, and much more, including traditional West African instruments, a rare triple flageole, early American banjos, a Kirkman Double Manual Harpsichord from 1761 owned by Queen Charlotte, and a Baffo Italian Virginal spinet from 1575. The Sigal Music Museum Library also contains reference books, sheet music, and a rare record album collection of more than 1,000 pieces.
