Review:
Businessman and county commissioner Henry Overholser is often called the "father of Oklahoma City" for his work in developing the town. His massive 3-story Victorian-style mansion was built in 1903 and was sold to the Oklahoma Historical Society in 1972.
It was later restored and today serves as a museum. Repairs have been made to the sandstone, chimneys, and windows, and the home's beautiful architectural details have been preserved. Tours last 35 to 45 minutes and are given on the hour, Tuesday through Saturday, year round except for the month of January. The home can also be rented for weddings and special events.
