The Shelton Lakes Recreation Path, popularly known as Rec Path, is a multi-use trail which can be found in the heart of Shelton. Since its completion in 2012 residents and visitors have flocked there for a leisurely to moderate stroll. The path, which is 8 to 12 feet wide, is handicapped accessible and will take you from Pine Lake through the dam at Silent Waters and to an overlook of the Hope Lake Dam. You’re sure to see some amazing views as you hike or bike your way through the park. Pack a lunch and stop at the picnicking area near Hope Lake for a meal with a view.
