Located within the Naugatuck Valley Hills, Osbornedale State Park is a gorgeous wilderness area which was once a lush hunting grounds for the Paugussett Indians. After settlers arrived, the land was used for farming, as a trading port, and mined for silver. Today, visitors will be able to see and enjoy so much during their visit to the park. During the summer months you can take part in picnicking and pond fishing while ice skating is available in the winter; hikers will find the trails to be stunning throughout the year. Head over to the Kellogg Environmental Center within the park to learn about the flora and fauna you’ll come across there.
