Covering 7.5 acres of hardwood forest in the southwest portion of New Providence, the Primeval Forest National Park is a relatively undisturbed, old-growth forest that is a living example of the early evergreen tropical hardwood forests of the Bahamas.

Established as a National Park in 2002, the park features an incredible diversity of plant and animal life, as well as spectacular natural wonders such as sinkholes and 30-foot deep limestone caverns.
