Opened in 2014, the Heritage Museum of the Bahamas is located in the historical Mountbatten House and was founded by the Graycliff’s Heritage Village. Guests to the Heritage Museum can experience a unique immersion into the history and heritage of the Bahamas from the pre-historic age up until the present age. Most of the museum’s collections are owned by Mr. Hamilton White, a prolific antique collector, and feature treasures, fossils, and incredible relics, some dating to be over 4.5 billion years old. Learn about key times in history such as the piracy era, the Columbus explorations, the days of the Duke of Windsor, the height of the Royal Airforce, and even exhibits dedicated to depicting 1900s life in the Out Islands.
