Anyone who loves nature and the great outdoors should certainly add the Kelso Conservation Area to their list of day trip ideals from Toronto. Kelso is easily accessed by road in less than an hour and offers a variety of outdoor recreational activities all year round. When the snow melts in spring and summer a network of great hiking and cycling trails are revealed, including the historic Lime Kiln Trail (hiking only). After a brisk walk or hike you can enjoy a refreshing swim or try paddle boarding and boating. Other popular attractions include the park’s aerial ropes course. In winter you can try your hand at down-hill and cross-country skiing.
