Guest Accommodations

Accommodations at the Korakia Pensione are designed to blend harmoniously with the surrounding California desert and feature Moroccan-inspired décor and antique furnishings. Suites, studios, and bungalows are spread between two villas – the Moroccan and the Mediterranean – and feature stone or wooden flooring with throw carpets, hand carved wrought iron or four poster king or queen-size beds in designer linens, down comforters and hypoallergenic pillows, and en-suite bathrooms with soaking bathtubs, walk-in rain showers, plush towels and bathrobes, and branded bath products. Spacious, airy living spaces have high wooden beamed ceilings, comfortable seating, fully equipped kitchens with designer appliances and utensils and sleek breakfast counters, and expansive patios and wrap around courtyards that overlook the stunning gardens.

The Mediterranean Villa is a classic 1930s abode decorated in a vivid blend of earth-tone hues with North African accents and features whitewashed stone walls, a grove of citrus trees and gorgeous views of the swimming pool. Built in 1924 and once the former hideaway of Scottish painter Gordon Coutts, the Moroccan Villa, formerly known as Dar Marroc, features a wide variety of architectural features and exotic Moroccan décor.
