The Oceanside Museum of Art opened its doors in 1997 and began providing exhibitions and public programs to the residents of Oceanside. The aim of the museum is to celebrate the inspiring power of the arts and the culture that accompanies it. The museum offers over fifteen contemporary art exhibitions a year and puts on concerts, films, and culinary events as well as tours and fundraising event opportunities.
The museum is non-profit and welcomes all visitors of different cultural backgrounds and walks of life. It is a nationally acclaimed gathering place. The museum looks to provide engagement, education, and inspiration to all who come to admire the artwork. The museum is open to the public between Tuesdays and Saturdays.
