Review:

A visit to the Cable Car Museum is a great way to learn all about San Francisco’s iconic cable cars. Located on Nob Hill, in the historic Washington/Mason cable car barn, the museum is home to a collection of antique cable cars, photos and mechanical displays which tell the story of how the first cable cars appeared on the streets of San Francisco back in 1873. Visitors can learn about how the original cars were built, who invented the ingenious mode of transport and what it takes to keep them moving. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday and admission is free.
