Review:
SPQR offers Italian favorites and tasting menus crafted from local ingredients in a small but cozy environment. The menu reflects both Northern California and Italy and is traditional and modern. Chef Matthew Accarrino has earned the restaurant a Michelin star and has received several James Beard nominations. Some of his best creations include the antipasti such as the caramelized sweet onion panna cotta, which is served with Accarrino’s sturgeon bacon and caviar. All of the pastas are delicious, with the Meyer lemon fettuccini in abalone alfredo being a favorite. The wine list is vast and includes perfect pairings for any dish on the menu.
