The Taft Street Winery is a family-owned and operated winery that began its humble beginnings in garage and grew into one of the region’s finest wineries. Following the 1980s ‘garagistes’ tradition from Bordeaux which referred to innovative winemakers who produced exceptional wines in their garages rather than in grand chateaux, Taft Street Winery began producing limited production wines in 1979 from select Sonoma County vineyards and have done so ever since. The Taft Street Winery has a family-and dog-friendly tasting room with a back patio with lovely outdoor seating, a bocce ball court and picnic tables which are available on a first come, first serve basis.
