The Glendale Galleria is a three-story shopping center within downtown Glendale, offering more than 1.6 million square feet of retail and business space. The center, which was originally opened to the public in 1976, is the fourth-largest shopping center in Los Angeles County and is one of America's highest-grossing shopping centers. Since 2002, it has been owned and operated by Brookfield Properties Retail Group. It is known as the site of original Disney Store and Apple Store locations and the first three-story Target location in the world, which was opened to the public in July of 2007. More than 30 million annual patrons shop at the complex, which is home to anchor retailers such as Bloomingdale's, Macy's, J.C. Penney, and Dick's Sporting Goods. Boutique stores such as Lush, Uniqlo, and Zara are also offered, along with a wide variety of full-service and quick-casual restaurants, including favorite chains Chipotle, In-N-Out Burger, and Peet's Coffee and Tea.
