Coffee in Culver City is screen-ready and smooth. Studio lots nearby, mid-century charm, and espresso served with a side of inspiration. It’s where I sip something sleek and bold, surrounded by writers, dreamers, and sunshine slipping across the sidewalk.
Best Culver City Coffee Shops:
1. Bar Nine
Rating: ★★★★★
If you’re into freshly roasted coffee and cool café vibes, I really think you’ll love Bar Nine.
I found it to be one of those places where you can actually see the roasting process happening while you sip your drink.
It’s all done in-house in a bright, open space that just feels good to hang out in.
I’ve had a great americano, latte, macchiato, and espresso there.
If you’re more of a tea person, you’re covered too. I tried their lavender tea once and it was so calming. They offer unique blends like soba, cha, and pure Tulsi from India, so you’ve got lots to choose from.
If you get hungry, I suggest you grab something from their light fare menu, including breakfast sandwiches and daily toast specials
You can also pick up a fresh pastry or some granola if you just want a snack.
One thing I love about Bar Nine is that they also offer coffee workshops and educational programs. Address: 3515 Helms Ave, Culver City, CA 90232 Phone: 310-837-7815
2. Cognoscenti Coffee
If you’re near the Arts District, I really think you should stop by Cognoscenti Coffee.
What started as a simple pop-up coffee cart in Burbank and Eagle Rock has grown into a stylish brick-and-mortar café that really knows its coffee.
When I walked in, I immediately noticed the clean, minimalist vibe. You’ll love the communal tables if you want to sit and linger for a while.
They use a beautiful La Marzocco espresso machine.
If you're particular about your beans, you’ll appreciate that they serve coffee from top-notch roasters.
You can also grab fresh pastries and sweet treats.

If you’re looking for a local classic, I really think you should stop by Tanner’s Coffee Company.
It’s actually the oldest coffee shop in Culver City. I love how it still feels like a cozy, welcoming spot.
If the weather’s nice (which it usually is), you can grab a seat on their outdoor patio.
They’re open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner, so you can swing by anytime.

5. Blackwelder Coffee
If you love fresh, high-quality coffee, I definitely think you should check out Blackwelder Coffee Roasters
It’s a cozy neighborhood micro-roaster that’s been around since 1996. You can really taste the experience in every cup.
I was impressed that they roast, serve, and sell only premium-grade 100% Arabica beans. They do it all in small batches so everything stays super fresh and flavorful.
You can even visit their roasting facility right on Blackwelder Street—how cool is that?
