The Arizona Copper Art Museum is a young museum that marries history and art in its exhibition of beautiful copper works. The museum is located in Clarkdale, Arizona, which was once a company town that made its livelihood producing copper goods for industrial purposes in the early and mid-twentieth century. The exhibits here tell the story of copper and coppersmithing with artifacts from the 16th to 21st centuries. The Arizona Copper Art Museum is a fun day trip from Sedona.
Most of the pieces are works of art hewn from the red metal by artists from the United States and Europe.
They are divided into several categories, including military art, kitchenware and drinkware, and distillery and winery paraphernalia.
