Review:

The Seorak Mountain district became a Natural Monument Preservation Area in November of 1965 and a Biosphere Preservation District by UNESCO in August of 1982. The park covers four Korean cities from Sokcho to Yangyang, numerous valleys, and streams, waterfalls, and several peaks. Pets are not permitted; however, admission is free year-round, though hiking may be closed due to the weather.

Some of the best places to visit at Seoraksan National Park include Manhae Village and Inje Hwangtae Village. The park also offers abundant outdoor activities such as hiking to the Baekdamsa Temple, which was built between 647 and 654, or trekking to the waterfalls in Baekdamgyegok Valley and Tangsudonggyegok Valley.
