Review:

In an unprecedented turn of events, the Sliding Jail has gone on the run. This historic jailhouse can be found over 200 feet from its original location, following a rather gradual slide down the side of a mountain in Jerome, Arizona. After incorporating in 1898, the town of Jerome joined the reputation of many other Wild West towns when brawling, boozing, and brothels became the norm. This small town had even briefly garnered the unflattering title of “Wickedest Town in America.” The historic jail is now surrounded by an old iron fence and stabilized by retaining walls, in case it tries to make another escape attempt. Visitors to Jerome will definitely want to check-out this structural renegade.
