The mansion was constructed in the year of 1916 by an influential family of mining entrepreneurs in the northeast region of the Black Hills.

This beautiful, historic, and impressive mansion sits high up on a hill overlooking the town of Jerome.

Besides serving as the home for the Douglas family, the mansion also provided hotel accommodations for investors and mining officials during that time.

Today visitors will find exhibits of artifacts, minerals, and photographs relating to the town of Jerome and the Douglas family’s history.
