One of the star hiking trails of Carson City, Kings Canyon Waterfall offers visitors a nature-filled escape just five minutes from the historic city.
The trail is favored by both locals and visitors not only for its accessibility, but also because of the stunning sights and picturesque alpine conditions. The trail runs for about a mile which may be easily hiked or biked through. Towards the end of the trail, visitors will find the namesake 25-foot waterfall which is stunning in every season, but most especially active during the Spring months. If you continue down the trail, you’ll be greeted with smaller cascades and areas to relax and enjoy a scenic picnic. Weather permitting, Kings Canyon Waterfall is open every day for day use. For the safety of its visitors, overnight camping or backpacking is not allowed in the area.
