There was a unique grandness to the lifestyle of the wealthy during the lumber era and guests with a love for history can experience this for themselves with a visit to the Cook Rutledge Mansion. Built in 1887, the Cook Rutledge Mansion has been lovingly restored as well as furnished and is today one of the few remaining examples of finely done High Victorian Italianate architecture in the entire state. Funded by the kind donations of its patrons and friends, this historical landmark in Wisconsin offers tours of the estate where guests will learn about the mansion’s history through knowledgeable and friendly guides. The mansion can also be rented for special events with a cozy 60-person seating capacity.
