Situated at the mouth of the scenic Manitowoc River is the Manitowoc Breakwater Light, a historic lighthouse constructed in 1918. An active navigation aid, the present steel lighthouse tower stands at a little more than fifty feet in height and uses a Fifth Order Fresnel. While the inside of the Manitowoc Breakwater Light isn't open to the general public, visitors can walk to the north breakwater to see the lighthouse. The lighthouse in Manitowoc's port, set on top of a large concrete base, indicates the north breakwater's end, continuing to guide vessels to the important Wisconsin port. Phone: 800-627-4896
