The Teapot Dome Gas Station was at one time in history a gas station that was constructed to look like a teapot. Located in the city of Zillah on First Avenue, the now roadside attraction was added to the country’s National Register of Historic Places and now serves as the city’s visitors center. The gas station was built to resemble a teapot to serve as a reminder of the area’s Teapot Dome Scandal that resulted in Albert Fall, the Interior Secretary at the time, being sent to prison for the part he played in leasing some of the government’s oil reserves.
