Seward Park spans 300 acres throughout its namesake iconic Seattle neighborhood, both of which are named in honor of William Seward, the former United States Secretary of State.

The spacious park was originally designed as part of the master park plan for the City of Seattle that was crafted by famed American landscape designers the Olmsted Brothers.

Today, the park is home to an expansive public beachfront along Andrews' Bay, which is open seasonally and offers chances for swimming and sunbathing for visitors of all ages. Boat launch ramps are offered at Bailey Peninsula and Andrews Cove, while walking and cycling opportunities are available on more than 2.4 miles of visitor trails.

Other amenities include a children's playground, a native plant garden, an art studio, and a public amphitheater used for concerts and special events.
