Review:

The Rembrandt House Museum is an art museum and historic home. The home was the residence of iconic master painter Rembrandt, who lived and worked in the home from 1639 to 1656. The home's original 17th-century interior has been reconstructed to reflect the style, décor, and furnishings of Rembrandt's time. All of Rembrandt's original belongings were auctioned off when he went bankrupt in 1656, however they have been reconstructed from the auction list and the reconstructed items are on display in the home. The art collection housed in the adjoining building includes many of Rembrandt's etchings as well as some works by his contemporaries.
