The National Museum of Ireland is a major museum in Dublin that focuses on natural history, culture, and Irish art. The museum has three branches in the city, namely the National Museum of Ireland – Archeology, the National Museum of Ireland – Decorative Arts and History, and the Natural History Museum. Located on Kildare Street, the National Museum of Ireland – Archeology magically transports visitors back to 7,000 B.C. to explore the ancient history of Ireland. The National Museum of Ireland – Decorative Arts and History showcases an excellent collection of ceramics, silverware, glassware, and furniture dating back to 1300 A.D. The Natural History Museum is located on Merrion Street and houses specimens of animals from around the world.
